The apartment “Guado” is one of 5 self contained sunny Units situated inside the impressive medieval villa "Torre del Guado".

The tuscan villa is perched in in the picturesque landscape northeast  of Arezzo  and looks out at the magnificent medieval town of Anghiari and Sansepolcro,  birthplace of the great painter Piero della Francesca, and the  same enchanting Tuscan scenery, what  inspired great painters as Piero della Francesca, Raffaello, Leonardo, Signorelli. The tuscan farmhouse is located amidst  the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside,  but, at the same time, close to cities of Arezzo - Cortona - Perugia and  within easy driving distance from the main art cities of  Tuscany and central Italy like: Florence, Siena, Rome, Urbino… <br>

The villa’s accommodation consists of  2  suggestive reception rooms  and  5 refined self-catering  vacation-accommodations, of different sizes and typology, with  excellent facilities. The whole holiday house inside very large secure  beautifully maintained equipped gardens (20.000 mq) with the  panoramic  15X7 swimming pool (open from 15/05/2010 to 25/09/2010).

 The farmhouse Torre del Guado, with its spacious apartments, with private kitchen, washing machine, and living room with sofa beds, is ideal for families ( if many familiar groups, the whole property can be rented), as well as for couples ( like honeymoon) or  business traveller looking for one double bed apartment.

As well as relaxing  and a base for touring, our holiday farmhouse gives you the possibility to experience unforgettable moments as only a place in Tuscany can and, with its reception  rooms  plus the park inside the spectacular tuscan landscape, is a superb birthdays, cerimonies and  weddings  location in tuscany (with optional catering service on request)

All the apartments ( from 2+ to 4+ guests) are tastefully and stylishly decorated thanks to a carefully selected colour scheme of warm, pastel shades (yellow, apricot, indigo, mauve) and enjoy plenty of natural light along with panoramic views of the tuscan  landscape and the foothills of the Apennines and valley. Each self catering accommodation has its independent  entry on the ground floor from the garden, own fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen-corner (4 plates, gas, refrigerator, ice compartment, electric oven, toaster..), 1 bathroom, with shower, bidet, sink, WC, and all the benefits of modern technology ( Satellite TV, individual  washing machine and heating ). Available, on demand, in every apartment, Wireless connection ( charge € 4 per/day).  All linens, including swimming pool towels and tables cloths,  fans and windows mosquito-nets are provided. Highchairs for babies, iron and hair dryer free on demand. Baby-cot on demand (extra €  5 per/day). The sofa/divan, present in each liv-room, can be transformed into a second double or single bed. Each apartment is  furnished for private outdoor dining area with sunshade and garden forniture.

The gardens provide, also,  plenty of garden furniture: 3 gazebos, sun-beds, tables, chairs, sunshade and a playing and barbecue area.

Location:

Torre del Guado  is 3 kms from Sansepolcro, a medieval town situated in Upper Tiber Valley, and 29 sqm from Arezzo,  near Cortona, Siena and on the edge of the Chianti wine region and of Umbria. The location is particularly well-placed for daily tourist itineraries: all the principal  historical tourist zones  and  great cities d’art of Tuscany and of central Italy are within easy driving distance ( Rome, Florence, Assisi, Urbino, Perugia, Bologna, Chianti area, Pisa, Trasimeno Lake..). They all are easily  accessible through the nearby E45 speedway, situated only 3 kms from the villa, and A1 highway 34 kms far.

 The area:

This area has a great culinary tradition: everywhere you can enjoy the wonderful dishes of Tuscan cuisine, accompanied by the fine wines. There are a number of music festivals in the region, including Umbria Jazz in Perugia and Tuscan Sun Festival of Cortona in July. The sport and nature lovers may take excursions on foot, on horseback or on mountain bike and wander through woods and vineyards, ruins of old churches, castles and lovely old farm buildings. Golf Club, tennis-courts and horse-riding are at short driving distance. Lakes Trasimeno and Montedoglio provide  water-sports, trips to islands & a small beach.
