This 1 level splendid apartment, 2 rooms, 90 m², enjoys of great privacy becouse it is located on the first floor in the most historical wing of the Villa, with its own private entrance. It is a popular choice for couples on their honeymoon but it is perfect also for small family groups .
Far from the typology of the other ones, this apartment is a wonderful suite with all comforts of a furnished apartment.
You find a very spacious open plan living/dining area with 1 double plus 1 single sofabed, fully equipped kitchen and dining table for 8. On the same floor there is 1 double bedroom and a well appointed bathroom with shower. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 very large living room.
Sleeps 2/5. 2 guests can be accommodated in beds; the sofa beds present in the apartment, can be transformed into a second double and single bed.
This apartment has a small porch and a private garden furniture under the outdoor stairs.
The apartment “Iris” is one of 5 self contained sunny units situated inside the impressive medieval complex.
All the apartments are tastefully and stylishly decorated thanks to a carefully selected colour scheme of warm, pastel shades (yellow, apricot, indigo, mauve) and enjoy plenty of natural light along with panoramic views of the landscape. Each self catering accommodation has its entry on the ground floor, own fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen (4 plates, gas, refrigerator, ice compartment, electric oven) and all the benefits of modern technology (Wireless Internet, Satellite TV, individual heating ( with counter) and private washing machine). All linens, including swimming pool towels and tables cloths, are provided, Cot ( Euro 4 a day) and highchairs for babies, iron and hair dryer free on demand. Wireless internet available on request. The sofa/divan, present in every apartment, can be transformed into a second double or single bed (charge Euro 15 a day for each guest). Each apartment has its private outdoor dining area with garden furniture.
The VILLA:
Torre del Guado Country House is an impressive stone manor house located in Tuscany and placed amidst the countryside between the medieval towns of Anghiari and Sansepolcro, close to Arezzo–Cortona, and within easy driving distance of Florence and Siena and other cities of art.
This historical Villa, with outstanding views on the enchanting Tuscan scenery, what inspired great painters as Piero della Francesca, Raffaello, Leonardo, Signorelli, … dates back to the 13th century and, recently by new owners, has been carefully restored and transformed into a warm and elegant Country holiday Guest House, where all the modern conveniences, including Wireless Internet connection, have been added to many of original preserved features. The accommodation is divided into 2 beautifully restored spacious reception rooms and 5 lovely self-catering apartments, of different sizes and typology, with excellent facilities.
The charming Farmhouse is sat in large and beautifully maintained gardens (20.000 mq), where the guests may stroll through vast green areas and enjoy a spectacular view on the landscape and the tuscan hills. In the centre there is the large and ecological equipped swimming pool, (m 15x8) with solarium, for guests use only.

Location:
Torre del Guado is 3 kms from Sansepolcro, a medieval town situated in Upper Tiber Valley, and 29 sqm from Arezzo, near Cortona, Siena and on the edge of the Chianti wine region and of Umbria. The location is particularly well-placed for daily tourist itineraries: all the principal historical tourist zones and great cities d’art of Tuscany and of central Italy are within easy driving distance ( Rome, Florence, Assisi, Urbino, Perugia, Bologna, Chianti area, Pisa, Trasimeno Lake..). They all are easily accessible through the nearby E45 speedway, situated only 3 kms from the villa, and A1 highway 34 kms far.
The area:
This area has a great culinary tradition: everywhere you can enjoy the wonderful dishes of Tuscan cuisine, accompanied by the fine wines. There are a number of music festivals in the region, including Umbria Jazz in Perugia and Tuscan Sun Festival of Cortona in July. The sport and nature lovers may take excursions on foot, on horseback or on mountain bike and wander through woods and vineyards, ruins of old churches, castles and lovely old farm buildings. Golf Club, tennis-courts and horse-riding are at short driving distance. Lakes Trasimeno and Montedoglio provide water-sports, trips to islands & a small beach. For art lovers, in this area there are Signorelli, Perugino, Pinturicchio frescos in addition to the 'Piero della Francesca trail' around Arezzo, Sansepolcro & Monterchi.
