Fattoria Sovestro is a wine producing estate just a short walk along the old Roman road - the Via Vecchia in to the town of San Gimignano, with it’s famous towers amid vineyards, olive-groves and cypress avenues. We offer accomodation in one of the four apartments that are available to let in the traditional tuscan farmhouse. Bed and Breakfast accommodation is also available at the fattoria. Apartment Sovestro is located on the ground floor with it’s own private entrance that opens into the Living/dining with wood burning fireplace via the hallway. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven,dishwasher and washing machine, old stone sink and fridge. There are two bedrooms one with double bed and the second with 2 single beds which can be made up into a double. There is a very comfortable sofabed in the livingroom for an extra 2. The accomodation has one bathroom with bidet, washbasin and w.c. The apartment is light , spacious and very well furnished with the owner's personal antiques. Also a covered terrace with BBQ is of private use of the guests staying in this apartment. The use of the oval swimming pool enjoys spectacular views across vineyards. It’s use is shared with the guests staying in the second apartment and occasionally the owner who also lives at the property. The grounds around the farmhouse are immaculately kept and abound with flowers. Guests have use of a private terrace area as well as the garden and pool areas. Fattoria Sovestro has a picturesque ‘enoteca’ where you can taste the wines that they sell directly to the public. A selection of excellent wines which include the famous white wine of San Gimignano – vernaccia, and a fine selection of tuscan red wines. Please note that there is an additional charge for the use of heating. Car parking near to the apartment. There are three ristorante within five minutes walk from Fattoria Sovestro. Please try to arrive between the hours of 16.00 and 19.00 (late arrival by arrangment)
