In 2003 VILLA BELSOLE was skilfully restored retaining all the architectural features of the past. In the 19th century, the Villa was the residence of the Marquise PUCCI family, in the early middle ages it was one of the first constructions from which the nearby village of San Martino was developed. The antique furnishing and décor reflect the ancient style of the Villa without renouncing the conveniences of modern bath-rooms, fully equipped kitchen, central heating, TV, DVD. Today the villa is provided with a private swimming pool (18x4m) in a wide garden perfectly equipped for your outdoor lunches and for relax by the pool, all surrounded by a park with olive groves and ancient cypresses.
LODGING DESCRIPTION: Structured on 3 floors. 9 double rooms, each with private bath/shower room. Total sleeps: 18 . GROUND FLOOR: large entrance hall with staircase, a wide living room with pool table, reading room with TV, DVD and CD, bedroom (twin single beds) with an en suite shower room, kitchen and a spacious dining hall with table for 18 persons, laundry and cloakroom.
FIRST FLOOR: Landing. 7 bedrooms, 5 with twin single-beds (all with en suite shower rooms), and 2 with double-beds, one with en suite bathroom and one with an en suite shower room.
SECOND FLOOR: “ colombaia tower”: one bedroom with a double-bed and en suite shower room, two terraces, one connected to the room, from which you have an exclusive view. OUTSIDE: Private swimming pool (18x4m) with roman steps, open from early May to late September, surrounded by a wide lawn and flower-beds with roses and jasmines. Private parking-place behind the villa and a gazebo equipped for out-door lunches with barbecue, all bordered by an olive grove and cypresses. The entrance to the property is provided with an antique iron gate, equipped with a video-interphone system. The rent includes the private use of the entire structure, self catering , 18 sleeps.

Located in a privileged position on the top of a hill, VILLA BELSOLE offers you a spectacular panorama of the landscape with it’s typical patchwork of olive groves and vineyards on the hill-sides, and the characteristic medieval towers of San Gimignano in the background.
ACTIVITIES In the immediate surroundings of VILLA BELSOLE you can practice a lot of different activities: guided excursions across the countryside, trekking as well as riding, or even a tour on quad ; mountain-biking, fishing (there’s a lake just about 500m from the villa). You can play tennis in Certaldo, tennis and golf near Castelfalfi (about 20km). Experience the ancient rural traditions by visiting the workshop of local artisans or wine and oil producers. You can frequent cooking-lessons in a nearby castle and discover the secrets of delicious Tuscan specialties; visit local wineries and cellars on a wine-tasting tour. On request we can arrange a typical Tuscan dinner for you at the villa.

The villa is perfectly located in order to discover the hidden parts of Tuscany, walled villages like Certaldo Alto, (the birthplace of Boccaccio), which has hardly changed since the Middle Ages, and the famous cities of art and culture, either by car or with public transport: Colle di Val d’Elsa, San Miniato, San Gimignano, Barberino Val d’Elsa, Volterra, Montespertoli, and last but not least, Certaldo.
