Description:
A traditional avenue of tuscan cypress trees line the driveway to Villa Albertina. Built originally as a hunting lodge by a local landowner the villa offers a delightful location for a peaceful, relaxing visit to the heart of Tuscany. The villa is set in private grounds surrounded by woodlands to the back and commanding views over the Florentine hills and countryside to the front. A fountain & lily pond are perfectly positioned at the top of the driveway and directly in front of the villa with it’s archways that surround the patio areas across the front and to the sides of the property, offering a welcome shade from the midday sun.
At one side of the villa there is a long dining table for shaded al fresco eating. The Villa interior is extremely spacious, the atmosphere is light and the magnificent antiques and highly polished terracotta floors all add to the unique and charm of this property.
In the grounds there is a raised swimming pool 10m x 5m with sunloungers and outdoor dining area.
Ground Floor The large entrance hall opens into a spacious living/dining room with an impressive stone fireplace and french windows opening to the front of the villa, looking out to the fountain and lily pond down the avenue of cypress trees.
Off the dining area is the well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven and large fireplace.
Also on the ground floor along a small corridor leading off the main entrance hall is a twin bedroom and a utility room with washing machine, washbasin and w.c.
First Floor There are four double bedrooms, two of which have an additional single bed. All the bedrooms upstairs open on to large terraces which overlook the grounds and woodland. As with the ground floor the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and furnished with many antique pieces.
There are two bathrooms each with bath/shower, bidet, washbasin and w.c. which complete the first floor.
Villa Albertina is ideally located for visiting many of the main historic cities in tuscany as well as offering access to some of the smaller ‘jewels’ and lesser known sights.
Florence – 30 kms Siena – 40 kms San Gimignano – 25 kms
Certaldo – 10 kms Montespertoli is the nearest town – 6 kms
There are several ristorante in the immediate area, the nearest is just 500m down a country lane, there are two other ristorante within 2 kms in Lucardo.
