Description:
From the electronically controlled entrance gate, a long alley winds to a second main entrance gate which opens into an enclosed area including the house, the chapel and the encircling garden. In front of this second gate the parking area is located in an olive grove, the dominant cultivation of the area.
Villa La Fonte is on three levels.
Ground Floor / Entrance:
The main entrance leads to two communicating rooms; one large drawing room and one library / living room furnished with built-in wooden book cases and a fireplace.
A small gallery nearby leads to the guest bathroom and French windows in both rooms open directly onto the garden where, in a shaded area, stands a solid stone table.
A lovely 16 Century staircase with ''pietra serena'' arches leads to the upper floor.
First Floor / Upper Level
The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom is situated to the left of the staircase, and a second double bedroom, bathroom and cloakroom are situated to the right.
In the middle of the two bedrooms is a small drawing room which can be used as a single bedroom, sharing the bathroom of the second bedroom.
All have views over the garden and the magnificent Tuscan countryside.
Lower Floor / Level
There are two different areas.
To the left are two more bedrooms with corresponding bathrooms.
The corridor leads to a large kitchen, furnished with traditional Tuscan pieces of furniture, a large dining room and a utility room.
Great French windows connect the kitchen and the dining room directly with the lower garden. Here and elegant stone and marble table, garden chairs and sofas, in the shade of the holm oak wood, make dining and relaxing outdoors wonderfully pleasant even during the heat of the summer months.
Garden and Swimming Pool
The upper and lower gardens are connected by a stone staircase and another entrance gate to the lower garden and kitchen area makes loading and unloading supplies convenient.
A private pool, a few meters down from the house, overlooks the seven hectares of land completing the property.
The Chapel
The chapel is completely independent with a separate entrance, and can be available for rent on request.
